Register
to ride on the Fort Lewis Military Reservation web site is functional but the intial web page can be slow to come up.
If ever you get prompted for a login and password the form is broken. At that point drive north to the main gate and get entry to building T-4074, Area Access Office (Range Patrol). Their phone numbers are 253-967-6277 or 253-967-4686.
One additional note - when you do drive north be sure you have the vehicle's registration with you. The vehicle you intend to use to take your horses to the fort property. Trailer registration wouldn't hurt either. You will also need your drivers license and proof of insurance.
You will visit the visitor center and obtain a day pass. That allows you onto the fort so you can get to the area access office.
Emergency Fort number: 253-307-8215 or 911 Access Information link - is it open? (see PDF link under Area Access Allocations)
